§ 13-1-107. Yard waste and trash in County right-of-way.

  • (a) Prohibition. A person may not rake, blow, or otherwise deposit leaves, grass clippings or other yard waste, or litter, trash or rubbish on or into a County right-of-way, storm drain, or waterway.
    (b) Exceptions.
    (1) Properly contained items listed in subsection (a) may be placed in a County right-of-way for purposes of regularly or specially scheduled collection by the County.
    (2) Items in subsection (a) may be placed in a County right-of-way if they are scheduled to be collected by a private contractor within 48 hours.
    (c) Sanction for violation. A violation of this section is a Class D civil offense and subject to a civil fine as provided in § 9-2-101.
