§ 7-6-102. Statements required to be filed.

  • (a) Generally. Each statement required under this title shall:
    (1) be filed with the Ethics Commission on a form provided by the Ethics Commission;
    (2) be filed under oath;
    (3) be filed on or before April 30 of each year;
    (4) cover the calendar year immediately preceding the year of filing; and
    (5) contain the information required by this title.
    (b) Filing for persons filling a vacancy. An individual who has not already filed a statement required by this title and who is appointed to fill a vacancy for which a statement is required by this title shall file the statement within 30 days after appointment.
    (c) Filing for persons whose employment has been terminated.
    (1) An individual required to file a statement under this title whose employment is terminated for a reason other than death shall file the required statement within 60 days after termination.
    (2) The statement shall cover the calendar year immediately preceding the year of the termination, unless a statement covering that year has already been filed, and the portion of the calendar year of the termination.
    (3) The filing of a statement under this subsection is not required if the individual has left a position with the County to take a position with the County for which a statement is required under this title and the disclosure requirements of the new position are at least as extensive as those of the prior position.
